Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule including floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep buildings and grounds neat and clean incl. sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas.
• Comply with local laws for storage and disposal of trash.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Assist with lunchroom setup and arranging tables/chairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report major repairs to principal.
• Regulate HVAC systems to ensure comfort and energy efficiency.
• Move furniture/equipment within building as directed.
• Assist in setting up facilities for events.
• Follow safety procedures and inspect machines and equipment.
