Job summary

West Bend School District is seeking a Facilities Technician responsible for cleaning and maintaining all school property, coordinating event set-ups, and supporting community and student activities on site. You will perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and work with administrators and staff to resolve concerns.

You will also manage building security, respond to emergencies as needed, and support outdoor maintenance tasks such as snow removal and landscaping while upholding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with district staff, students, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and report issues through the work order system.
• Coordinate space setup for school activities in collaboration with administration.
• Prepare facilities for activities with instructional staff and oversee custodial staff on setup and cleanup.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional interaction with students and the public.
• Secure facilities, manage lighting and access, and supervise during events as needed.
• Assist with outdoor maintenance including snow removal and litter patrols.
