Job summary

Solon City Schools is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks across school facilities and grounds. You will follow supervisor directions to complete scheduled duties, including basic repairs, landscaping, and facility upkeep.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, the ability to read and follow instructions, and dependable performance. 260 workdays per year with full-time/contract status and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Shall have some mechanical aptitude and limited knowledge of general maintenance and repairs.
• Shall be able to read, write and communicate in English and follow written instructions and schedules.
• Shall have demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from supervisor to perform semi-skilled or unskilled maintenance tasks.
• Perform maintenance across buildings, grounds, equipment and furnishings as assigned.
