Grain Valley R-5 School District is seeking a Maintenance staff member to keep facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained for students and staff in Grain Valley, Missouri. The position is 12 months, non-exempt, and reports to the Director of Operations. Starting immediately, it offers hourly pay from $18.61 to $20.86, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
• HVAC Universal License preferred.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment.
• Must be able to work in all climate weather.
• Must be able to read labels, instructions and other work related materials.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises safe and well-maintained.
• Performs grounds keeping of district buildings and athletic fields.
• Regulates HVAC systems for appropriate temperatures and efficiency.
• Shovels, plows, and applies ice melts to walkways and driveways.
• Completes work orders promptly and preventative maintenance.
• Maintains grounds equipment and related building systems.
