Job summary

Goddard Public Schools is seeking a dependable and skilled General Maintenance team member to help maintain our district facilities in top condition and ensure they are safe, functional, and ready for students and staff.

The General Maintenance role involves servicing school buildings, performing repairs, and supporting facility-related tasks across district properties. You will work with district staff and administration to keep spaces safe and operational for daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General working knowledge in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, janitorial, and carpentry is helpful.
• Valid Kansas driver's license.
• Ability to safely operate trucks and trailers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of the school district.
• Ability to work independently and handle changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining school buildings and facilities in top condition.
• Promote safety, health, and comfort of students and employees in buildings and grounds.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in maintenance and repair projects.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on interior and exterior of district buildings.
• Assist with maintaining structural elements like flooring, doors, frames, windows, and stairs.
• Move equipment and materials within and between school buildings.
