Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to oversee repairs, maintenance and project work across school sites. You will manage contractors, monitor time/materials, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.

Travel within and outside the state may be required, and you will report to the Director of Projects & Facilities. The role emphasizes collaboration with vendors, scheduling, budget awareness, and preventative maintenance planning to extend

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction trades and facilities maintenance; ability to work with vendors and contractors.
• Supervisory experience overseeing work crews and technicians across multiple sites.
• Ability to read building plans/blueprints and perform basic math.
• Strong administrative, writing, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA, building/fire codes, and inspection processes.
• Excellent time management and prioritization.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and documenting service requests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and maintenance across school facilities including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and safety systems.
• Manage contractors, obtain bids, schedule work, and monitor time/materials.
• Track status of projects and maintain preventative maintenance processes.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
• Travel within and outside state as needed; report to Director of Projects & Facilities.
