Featherstone Primary School is seeking a proactive caretaker/maintenance person to help keep our school safe, secure and well-presented. You will work under the Site Manager to support building and grounds maintenance, DIY tasks, and event setup within a busy school environment.

The role suits someone with hands-on experience or enthusiasm to learn, who is reliable, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Competenze

• Experience in DIY, maintenance, or caretaking.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good organisation and reliability.

Mansioni

• Maintain school premises security, open/close procedures, and alarm operation.
• Carry out routine grounds maintenance including litter picking, gritting, snow clearance.
• Assist with setting up and clearing classrooms, halls and outdoor spaces for events.
• Assist with deliveries, stock management, and basic repairs.
• Help with painting, decorating and DIY projects.
• Conduct routine site inspections and health and safety checks.
