Job summary

Lake Dallas ISD is seeking a Custodian to clean and maintain district facilities with a focus on safety and efficient building operations. The role involves following a cleaning schedule, assisting with maintenance, and ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.

The candidate must be able to lift heavy items and operate cleaning equipment, and will be paid $14.84 to $20.18 per hour. Applicants must meet citizenship/residency/work authorization requirements and be prepared to work in both

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule covering floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment and restrooms.
• Keep school building and grounds neat and clean, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas.
• Comply with local laws for trash storage and disposal; assist inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned; assist with setting up facilities for events.
