Job summary

Moore County Schools' Cameron Elementary School in Cameron, NC is seeking a dependable Custodian for a 12-month term. Immediate start with duties including cleaning, floor care, and sanitizing restrooms. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a NC driver’s license.

Reports to the School Principal and works full-time. Responsibilities include maintaining facilities, stocking supplies, minor maintenance, and handling after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• General knowledge and experience of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment and the ability to use them economically and efficiently
• Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license
• High school diploma or its equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs responsible work in the care and cleaning of school facilities
• Performs a variety of general and light grounds keeping work in the care and maintenance of assigned buildings and facilities
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes, and buffs floor surfaces
• Cleans and disinfects restroom areas and replenishes paper supplies and soap as necessary
• Opens buildings at start of workday; securely locks down the facility at end of day
