Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of district-wide standards for cleaning methods, equipment, materials and supplies.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment operations and PM duties on equipment.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.
• Self-starter and able to work as a team member with minimal supervision and maintain a neat appearance.
• Ability to establish working relationships with supervisor, staff and students.
• Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• Submission of PA School Personnel Health form and required clearances (Act 34/151/114).
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Police public areas.
• Dust, mop, buff, scrub and recoating of floors; carpet cleaning as needed.
• Scrub and clean restroom walls, floors, fixtures and restock supplies.
• Dust, clean and polish furniture and surfaces.
• Maintain inter-departmental relations with staff and faculty.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting cleaning products, materials, and equipment.
• Report accidents to Supervisor.
• Fill in for absent staff when needed.
• Keep storage areas neat and organized for supplies and equipment.
• Vent, erase boards and clean radiators as required.
• Support custodial needs for events and meetings.
• Assist with security of buildings during shifts.
