Job description

Position:

CLEANER – Windsor Central School District,8 Hours/Day - 261 Days/Year

Job Description:

• Performs routine cleaning duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, polishing, vacuuming dusting, and removing refuse.
• Replenishing building lavatory and miscellaneous supplies, performs routine
• minor mechanical work such as replacing fluorescent lights and maintaining cleaning equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, painting, furniture repairing, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs, operation and maintenance of boiler equipment, and roof patching.
• Miscellaneous outside grounds work including mowing, raking, snow removal and cleanup.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Graduate or equivalency preferred.

Ability to read and write English, ability to understand simple directions and
assignments, mechanical aptitude, working knowledge and experience in
building maintenance and cleaning work preferred, good physical condition.

Civil Service Rating:
Cleaner - Labor Class (Non-Competitive)

• Pay starts at $17.00/hr

• Eligible for the NYS State and Local Retirement System
