Qualifications

• Ability to follow infection control plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings clean and orderly; performs heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.
• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors; moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and returns it to place.
• Cleans assigned areas with designated materials and equipment; sanitizes surfaces using the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Takes initiative to identify areas needing cleaning and completes tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Adheres to all federal, state, and county guidelines; performs other duties as assigned.
