Job summary

Santa Fe Independent School District Maintenance and Operations in Santa Fe, Texas is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems district-wide. Immediate start, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance, system upgrades, duct work, and energy efficiency measures.

Candidate must hold a valid Texas journeyman HVAC Class B license and a Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

Requires valid Texas TDLR journeyman HVAC Class B license.
Requires a clear and valid Texas driver’s license.
HVAC knowledge in repairs, maintenance and installation.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and references.
Able to perform mathematical calculations and diagnose problems.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating/air conditioning systems.
Install new HVAC systems and expand existing ones, including duct work and piping.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and inventory of tools and materials.
Receive work orders, estimate time/materials, and document labor used.
Inspect completed work and ensure areas are clean and safe.
Respond to emergency calls and assist energy conservation efforts.
