Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking substitute custodians to maintain safety and cleanliness across facilities. The position is hourly, with an anticipated schedule as needed, and reports to the Custodial & Warehouse Supervisor.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, two years of custodian experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The role requires compliance with background checks and school policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of prior work experience as a custodian.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and replenish supplies.
• Clean and maintain daily areas including trash, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing surfaces.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and waxing machines as needed.
• Secure facility and perform light painting as directed.
• Shovel/salt walkways and maintain exterior areas as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
