Job summary

SSC Services For Education is seeking full-time and part-time Janitors for the Avondale Elementary School District. This role involves keeping buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties such as floors, rugs, walls, and glass, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and students.

The successful candidates will work Monday through Friday, with varying hours; flexibility for both positions is available. Compensation starts at $15.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, and other items.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
