Job summary

ServiceFM (SFM) is seeking dependable Custodians to perform general cleaning and floor care in educational facilities across the South Nashville and Brentwood areas. The role supports a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms and common areas, floor care, and event setup; candidates must pass a fingerprint background check and can work independently or as part of a team in a smoke-free environment.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employment.
• Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately
• Ability to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces
• Pick up debris around building entrances and grounds
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks
• Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
