Job summary

Education Service Center, Region 2, is seeking a school cleaning and maintenance professional to read and follow cleaning and safety instructions and perform routine upkeep across the campus. The role includes operating cleaning equipment and assisting with minor repairs as needed.

You will maintain schedules for cleaning floors, chalkboards, and restrooms, keep the grounds tidy, and ensure proper disposal of trash while tracking supplies and inventory for replenishment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping buffing, waxing, etc.), chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, doors, furniture, equipment, and cleaning/sanitizing of restrooms.
• Keep school building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas, etc., neat and clean.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed.
