Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply knowledge of methods, materials and equipment for tasks.
• Maintain and care for all assigned equipment.
• Perform heavy cleaning tasks (scrub, mop, wax, polish, dust, wash windows) as required.
• Complete work on schedule and to standards.
• Receive, account for and distribute materials and supplies as directed.
• Move furniture and equipment as directed.
• Report minor repairs to supervisor.
• Ensure secure facilities when required.
• Work with chemicals, possibly mixing for use.
• Read and interpret manuals for equipment maintenance.
• Mow grass and perform grounds care as assigned.
• Attend in-service custodial training sessions.
• Use effective interpersonal communication.
