Movement Schools in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dependable Custodian to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming. You will maintain bathrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and support spaces daily, helping ensure a positive learning environment.

This full-time role follows the academic calendar, may include evenings or weekends for events and deep cleaning. We value a thorough, independent worker who takes pride in the environment educators and families rely on.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial or facilities experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, classrooms, hallways, and common areas daily.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain various floor surfaces throughout the building.
• Empty trash and recycling containers, ensuring proper disposal.
• Restock supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and fixtures to maintain a polished appearance.
• Set up and break down rooms for meetings, events, and activities as directed.
• Follow safety guidelines and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Secure doors and assigned areas according to school procedures at day’s end.
• Assist with seasonal cleaning, deep cleaning, and other campus maintenance needs.
