ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at a K-12 or higher education campus. The role covers classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for students and staff.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety procedures, proper use of cleaning products, and effective communication with campus staff. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to contribute to recycling and facility upkeep.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsabilidades

• Clean and maintain assigned area, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, office, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
• Regularly check trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all designated areas.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager concerning repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
• Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceiling, and walls.
• Polish hard surfaces, e.g., woodwork and stainless steel surfaces.
• Wipe tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with cleaners and squeegees.
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform seasonal tasks.
• Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms (clean and polish as needed).
• Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards established by the Company and authorities.

• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees


• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks


• Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms (clean and polish as needed)


• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience


• One (1) year of prior similar work experience.
