Job summary

Stafford County Public Schools is seeking a School Crossing Guard to help manage traffic flow around school locations. You will direct vehicular and pedestrian movement, ensuring children can cross streets safely and on designated crossings.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Virginia driver's license, and Sheriff’s Office certification. The role involves training and adhering to district safety policies, with hourly pay and a schedule aligned to school start/end

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Sheriff’s Office to conduct Crossing Guard duties.

Responsibilities

• Crossing Guard duties before and after school.
• Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic with hand signals.
• Report hazards to Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.
• Report vehicle code violations and write reports as necessary.
• Attend training sessions/meetings as requested by supervisor.
