Job summary

Naperville Community Unit School District 203 is seeking a Crossing Guard to help children safely cross busy intersections on their way to and from school. This non-exempt, hourly position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities include stopping traffic under Naperville Police Department procedures, guiding children, reporting injuries or safety concerns, and assisting with related duties. Work days are Monday through Friday during school attendance, with start date TBD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stop traffic to allow children to cross the street under Naperville Police Department procedures.
• Direct children when it is safe to cross and when they should wait.
• Interact with children and families in a positive way.
• Report injuries, accidents, or illnesses to appropriate authority.
• Report safety concerns to appropriate authority.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
