Job summary

Catholic Charites of the Diocese of Greensburg is seeking a qualified School Counselor/Therapist to provide direct counseling services to students and families, and to collaborate with the Director of Counseling Services on individual plans. The role includes interviewing students, arranging referrals, and following up to ensure progress.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in a related field, be license-eligible in Pennsylvania, and possess required clearances and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related mental health field.
• License or license eligible in Pennsylvania.
• Act 33/34 clearances.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related mental health setting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling and support services to students and families.
• Interview students to obtain information for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provide information and referral services to students and families.
• Develop follow-up procedures to determine if the student was helped.
• Collaborate with the Director of Counseling Services to review and update individual counseling service plans.
