Qualifications
- School Counselor Certification Needed.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations, staff, and parents.
Location: Richmond, VA
Start: ASAP
Employment Type: Full Time, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Caseload: Elementary, grades 3-5. Details discussed in an interview.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and implement evidence-based interventions and strategies.
- Support crisis intervention and assist in managing school-wide behavioral issues.
- Provide professional development and training to educators and staff on psychological topics, such as social-emotional learning, behavior management, and mental health.
- Consult with parents and guardians to offer strategies for supporting students at home.
- Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
