Compensation: $68 – $76/hour

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a School Counselor in New York, NY providing counseling services within school-based settings for the current school year. You will support students with social, emotional, and behavioral development while delivering individual and group counseling aligned with IEP and student support plans.

Responsibilities as the School Counselor:

• Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support student emotional and behavioral needs.
• Student Support: Assist students in developing coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation for classroom success.
• IEP & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP or support meetings.

Qualifications for the School Counselor:

• Education: Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Licensure: Active New York State LCSW or LMHC is required.
• Certification: New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.
