TAG MedStaffing is hiring multiple School Counselors in Brooklyn & Queens, NY for our client, providing counseling services within school settings for the upcoming school year. This role offers flexible school placements, supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral development. You will deliver individual and group counseling aligned with IEP and student support plans while following the academic calendar.

Responsibilities as the School Counselor:
  • Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support student emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Student Support: Assist students in developing coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation for classroom success.
  • IEP & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP or support meetings.
Qualifications for the School Counselor:
  • Education: Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State LCSW orLMHC is required.
  • Certification: New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.
