Qualifications

• Master's degree in school counseling or equivalent with licensure.
• Completion of school counseling internship is required.
• Valid NC school counseling certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to NC Professional School Counselor Standards.
• Utilize data to design, deliver, and communicate a comprehensive counseling program.
• Counsel students individually or in small groups for identified needs.
• Develop and maintain a written plan for the counseling program.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and outside personnel to support students.
• Attend professional development and other required meetings.
• Perform safety functions and drills to maintain a safe environment.
