Job summary

ProCare Therapy is hiring two full-time school counselors to support high school students in Michigan for the 2026-2027 academic year. This in-person role runs Monday–Friday with a 7:15am–2:15pm schedule, beginning as soon as possible through June 11, 2027.

You will collaborate with staff, students, and families to promote student well-being and success. The position requires valid Michigan school counseling certification or eligibility, with strong communication and organizational skills to

• Valid school counseling certification, licensure, or eligibility for certification in Michigan.
• Experience counseling high school students (grades 9-12) preferred.
• Strong understanding of Section 504 Plan compliance and monitoring.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support student progress, academic achievement, and well-being.
• Oversee and ensure Section 504 Plan compliance.
• Maintain thorough communication with parents via conferences, emails, and calls.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and fellow counselors on student plans and interventions.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive school culture.
• Track student caseload data and maintain confidential records.
• Additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Immediate openings are available for two dedicated school counselors for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid school counseling certification, licensure, or eligibility for certification in Michigan
• Previous experience providing counseling services to high school students (grades 9-12) is highly valued
• Strong understanding of Section 504 Plan compliance and monitoring
• Excellent organizational and communication skillsboth written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
• Comfortable managing sensitive situations and a variety of student needs
• Proficient in conducting parent meetings through multiple formats (email, phone, in-person)
