Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field is required.
• Arizona School Counselor License or eligibility by start date is required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Experience in school-based counseling is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Support social-emotional learning, behavior, and mental health needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and assist with crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with teachers, admins, families, and support staff.
• Participate in student support team meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Develop and implement interventions to improve student success and well-being.
• Assist students with conflict resolution, self-advocacy, and coping skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district/state requirements.
• Help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate.
