Job summary

DAINGERFIELD-LONE STAR ISD is seeking a qualified School Counselor for the Daingerfield, Texas campus. A Master’s degree and proper school counseling training are preferred, with a Counselor Certificate also preferred.

The role requires planning and implementing a comprehensive counseling program and strong communication with students, staff, and the community. The position is a full-time 11-month contract with compensation based on credentials and experience and subject to budget

• Three years of successful teaching experience

POSITION OPENING

COUNSELOR

Education: At least a Master's Degree from an approved institution recognizing teacher education preferred

Proper training in Public School Counseling

Counselor Certificate preferred

Experience: Three years of successful teaching experience

Ability: This person must be able to plan and implement a sound secondary school counseling program and communicate effectively with students, teachers, administrators and patrons.

This person must keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.

Position Goal: Provide a complete program of guidance services especially adapted to meet the varied needs of high school students.

General Information: Contract for 11 months with a salary dependent on credentials and experience with budget considerations.
