Responsible for assisting the Director of Student Services with the implementation of projects and events.The Office of Student Support Services manages and oversees several referral processes for mental health services. These include referrals for the Bridge program, Brief Counseling program, Care Solace, Rapid Response program, and tele-mental health services (UWill). This position will manage these referral forms, promote the available services throughout the school division and city, communicate and meet with the various providers, and support the coordinator of school
counseling services to implement an efficient system that readily addresses the mental health needs of our community. The secondary
set of responsibilities for this position is to assist with larger school division projects like College Night, AP exam administration, and the
school division's 3E event.
Demonstrate the ability to deliver and articulate oral presentations and written communication and interact effectively with staff, parents, students and the community; demonstrate a working knowledge of the English language in written and verbal content; demonstrate the responsibility for own professional growth by seeking continuing education and in-service training programs; demonstrate professionalism by working cooperatively with other staff members, using support services when needed, ensuring that oral communications are clear, accurate, and grammatically correct, respecting the confidential nature of professional information, submitting reports accurately and punctually and complying with administrative directives, individual school guidelines and school board policy; demonstrate self-control in the interaction with the school community; demonstrate good work habits to include punctuality and regular attendance and efficient use of time.
Required: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three years teaching/school counseling experience.
Preferred: Master's Degree.
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Frequent sitting, walking, bending, grasping, fingering, repetitive motion, and reaching. Occasional standing, stooping, crouching, and driving. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently. Requires timely and regular adherence to established work schedules. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks.
Possession of a valid driver's license Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
