Job Overview

Incumbent will create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student and staff member through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experience. Incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high quality education opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s need for cultural and economic well-being.

• Support BIE mission to provide high quality education opportunities across all ages.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and one year related experience, or completion of a one-year (two semesters) or longer full‑time training program in food service management, which may be substituted for the required experience.
• Valid Food Handlers Certificate for the state of employment. (Certificate: https://www.ihs.gov/foodhandler/)
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Physical requirements: lift over 50 pounds, excellent physical condition, good vision in one eye and ability to read printed material of typewritten size; glasses permitted; hearing ability sufficient; mental and emotional stability.
• Occasional travel for training or meetings may be required.
