Job summary

The Spire School seeks a School Clinician to provide therapeutic, school-based support for students in grades 6–12. You will help build resilience, strengthen relationships, and support engagement within their education.

Deliver individual, group, and family therapy, participate in IEP-related activities, and collaborate with educators and families to promote student wellbeing in a structured school environment.

Qualifications

• Connecticut School Social Worker certification 071 and active LMSW, LCSW, or LPC credential.
• At least 3 years post-licensure experience and 2 years with middle or high school students.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education processes.
• Experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or MI.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
• Collaborative approach supporting a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy aligned with IEP goals and student needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing therapeutic support to promote stability and engagement.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and providers to support student progress and well-being.
• Develop and lead psychoeducational groups, social skills programming, and summer therapy sessions.
• Contribute to IEP development, admissions evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
