Palestine-Wheatley School District in Palestine, Arkansas is seeking a Food Service / Cafeteria Staff member to support daily meal operations in a school setting. You will prepare meals, serve students, and maintain sanitation in accordance with USDA and Arkansas Child Nutrition guidelines.

This full-time role offers stable hours and a chance to contribute to a welcoming lunch program for students and staff; starting date is immediate and applications are accepted until filled.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch according to daily menus and portion guidelines.
• Follow all USDA, ADE Child Nutrition, and district food safety regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, warmers, dishwashers, mixers, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving lines, storage areas, and dining spaces.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries.
• Record temperatures for food, coolers, freezers, and dish machines.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control requirements.
• Assist with counting meals and completing daily production records.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students and staff.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to the Child Nutrition Director.
• Support special dietary needs under direction of the Child Nutrition Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient meal service.
