Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring a full-time Food Unit Lead for the Appleton Area School District. The role coordinates activities of food-service staff, ensuring a smooth dining experience for students and staff.

Hours are 6:00 am to 1:30 pm, with no nights or weekends. Prior food service and cashier experience is a plus. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $16.50 per hour; interviews provide more details.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Helps plan menus.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints in person and via email for electronic complaints.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Uses proper systems for daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory-cash reports, production records, payroll and time-keeping).
• Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual.
