Chartwells K-12 in Hazel Park, MI is hiring a full-time Food Unit Lead. Located at Hazel Park Schools, the role runs Monday–Friday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Prior kitchen experience is required and pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. Online applications are accepted only.

As a Food Unit Lead you will coordinate activities of kitchen staff, ensure quality service, assist in menu planning, and manage operations to meet company standards for safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items to standards.
• Helps plan menus and ensures timely, efficient meal service.
• Trains employees and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Keeps daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, payroll and timekeeping.
