Chartwells K-12 in Winterset, IA is hiring for a Food Service Worker (full or part time). The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Prior food service and kitchen experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from stations, stove and refrigerator following safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality and portions.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolves concerns.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures sanitation and safety requirements are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
