Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Dallastown, PA is hiring for full-time and part-time Food Service Workers to prepare, present and serve meals in school settings. The schedule varies with shifts from morning to early afternoon, with a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

No prior food service is required, but experience is a plus; we offer on-the-job training, potential for internal referrals, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator with safety.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality and portions.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory and cash controls.
• Adheres to sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
