Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Glencoe, MN is hiring for a part-time Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals in a school cafeteria. The role involves prep tasks, portion control and customer service, with a schedule Monday through Friday and hours that may vary.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience is preferred.
• Experience in school cafeteria environments is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift light loads.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
