Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversees the preparation, cooking and serving of food for students and staff.
• Maintains records and reports of food used and student accounts.
• Evaluates flavor, appearance and temperature of prepared food.
• Cleans and maintains sanitary kitchen areas and equipment.
• Prepares food per standardized recipes to meet nutritional requirements.
• Inspects food items and supplies for quality and health standards.
• Inventories food and supplies to meet menu requirements.
• Monitors sanitary conditions in kitchen and serving areas.
• Operates the point of sale system to process meals.
• Reports needed supplies and equipment malfunctions.
