Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring for full-time and part-time Food Service Worker positions at Indiana Area School District in Indiana, PA. Responsibilities include food prep, portion control, serving customers, and maintaining safety standards. Prior food service experience is preferred and training is provided.

Schedule varies, with weekdays and possible closures on holidays. We offer a fixed pay rate of $14.25 per hour and a benefits-ready environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and serving temperatures.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
