Job summary

Compass Group USA’s Chartwells K-12 division seeks a food service worker for Long Beach MS. You will prepare, present and serve meals in a school dining program, follow recipes, maintain safety standards and assist with cleaning and stocking.

The role offers a fixed pay rate of $11.67 per hour with full-time and part-time schedules, Monday–Friday, and a student-friendly school calendar with weekends and holidays off. Prior kitchen experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
