Chartwells K-12 is seeking a kitchen assistant at Lisle Junior High School to prepare, present, and serve food. Schedule includes full-time and part-time shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with details provided at interview. Responsibilities include food prep, safety compliance, and serving customers with a friendly, efficient approach.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience required.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator following safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Performs sanitation and safety compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
