SLA is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support daily meals for students and staff. You will help prepare and serve meals in a safe, clean environment while collaborating with a friendly school community.

The role values dependability, teamwork, and a willingness to work within a structured, school-based setting. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday with typical kitchen duties, inventory support, and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or cleaning preferred.
• Able to pass a background check and fingerprint screening.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Comfortable with routine and repetitive tasks.
• Enjoys working around children in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to recipes, production records, and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and service area.
• Stock serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers.
• Follow procedures for food storage, rotation, and sanitation.
• Serve meals to students, staff, and visitors courteously.
• Assist with deliveries and inventory organization.
• Sweep, mop, and take out trash as needed.
• Follow health regulations and assist team as needed.
• Submit reports and meet deadlines as assigned.
