Cedar Rapids Community School District is hiring a part-time Food Service Cashier to support breakfast and lunch operations. The role focuses on accurate money handling, account maintenance, and friendly service for students and staff.

You will work 8:30am to 1:30pm, about 5 hours daily, with summers off and a nine-month schedule. Required: High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience with school food service operations is a plus.
• Ability to manage money accurately and maintain accounts.
• Strong communication with students, staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for cashiering during breakfast and lunch.
• Collect money and maintain customer accounts.
• Prepare daily worksheets and deposits.
• Assist with food prep and kitchen cleanup as assigned.
• Ensure proper safety and sanitation standards.
