Davenport Community Schools is hiring a Food and Nutrition Services Cashier I for West High. You will operate a POS terminal, document daily sales, and count meals by category while maintaining accurate petty cash and deposits.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced cafeteria environment. This is an on‑site position with a 3.5 hour daily schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate a POS terminal and handle cash accurately.
• Ability to follow district procedures and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS to document daily sales using district software.
• Record daily meal counts by category (full, reduced, or free).
• Maintain records of adult meals, student prepayments, milk, and a la carte sales.
• Charge correct prices, make change, and deposit daily bank deposits.
• Ensure compliance with federal School meal standards.
• Assist with cleaning and setup of service areas.
