Responsibilities

• Performs pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and checks equipment.
• Reports vehicle concerns in writing immediately.
• Keeps vehicle clean inside and out and follows health/safety rules for spills and hazards.
• Fuels the vehicle and monitors fluid levels.
• Maintains routes and schedules; suggests improvements for efficiency.
• Transports only authorized passengers and reports hazards or non-compliance.
• Manages passenger conduct and communicates rules to students.
• Assists passengers with medical considerations when needed.
• Follows district field trip procedures and remains available during trips.
• Conducts emergency evacuation drills and participates in bus safety program.
