Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a School Bus Monitor (Travel Kuz) to assist students on and off the bus and ensure safe arrival at destinations. The role offers 20–25 hours per week with a pay of $18.54 per hour, plus benefits and paid training.

Responsibilities include helping students board, monitor behavior, and communicate effectively with the school community. Training is provided; background checks and drug screening are required, and candidates must be 18+ with English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ required.
• Ability to pass a background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screen.
• Effective communication in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students entering and exiting the vehicle and secure them in seats.
• Monitor student behavior and report unsafe behavior to management.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
• Use the vehicle's two-way radio to coordinate with the Van Pool team.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors.
• Maintain willingness to work with school-aged children, including those with special needs.
