Job summary

Reliant Student Transport, LLC is hiring a School Bus Route Driver in Hastings, MN to transport students safely on assigned routes and provide friendly customer service. You will conduct pre-trip inspections, assist students, keep accurate records, and communicate with dispatchers about route changes.

A clean driving record and CDL training will be provided with a sign-on bonus. We value reliability, safety, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and individuals

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving school buses preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical understanding for pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Must pass background checks as required by company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and individuals with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and incidents.
• Communicate route changes or passenger needs with dispatchers and team members.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers and address questions or concerns.
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers along designated routes while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, some mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and individuals with special needs.
