G&L-Student-Transportation, Inc. is seeking a part-time bus monitor to support students during bus rides, ensuring safety and proper seating. You will guide children on boarding, communicate with drivers and parents, and maintain discipline and order on the bus.

The role emphasizes safety procedures, lifting and securing wheelchairs, and assisting in evacuations. A High School Diploma or GED and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Responsabilités

• Assist children with getting on and off the bus safely.
• Ensure children are in their assigned seats and get off at the correct stops.
• Maintain children in safe seating while the bus is moving.
• Operate a lift and secure wheelchairs in the tie-down system.
• Assist drivers in maintaining safety on the bus in route and at bus stops.
• Maintain order on the bus.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and handle emergencies calmly.
• Keep accurate records as required by policies and procedures.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Foster good relationships with children, the bus driver, parents, and staff.
• Ensure no children are left on the bus after route completion and keep the bus tidy.
